The "flying imams' " federal lawsuit, filed this week in Minneapolis, has made headlines around the country. The imams are demanding unspecified damages from US Airways and the Metropolitan Airports Commission, both with deep pockets. But their suit includes other defendants, as yet unnamed. These people, unaffiliated with the airline industry or government, are among the imams' most vulnerable targets. Recall the November 2006 incident that gave rise to the suit. The imams engaged in a variety of suspicious behaviors while boarding a US Airways flight, according to the airport police report. Some prayed loudly in the gate area, spoke angrily about the United States and Saddam, switched seats and sat in the 9/11 hijackers' configuration, and unnecessarily requested seatbelt extenders that could be used as weapons, according to witness reports and US Airways spokeswoman Andrea Rader.
After extensive consultations, the pilot asked authorities to remove the imams for questioning, which they did, releasing them later that day.
"The pilot did what he had to do," passenger Rita Snelson of Maplewood told the Star Tribune. "I told the airline afterward, 'Thank you for watching over us.' "
The imams' lawsuit, however, asserts that US Airways and the MAC acted solely out of religious and ethnic discrimination. It includes 17 separate counts.

And, once again, she gets it right.
I think every passenger on the plane should sue the six imams for harrassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Well, if the jury pool in Minneapolis is anything like the jury pool in DC, Heaven help US Airways. The airline would be better off just pulling out of Minneapolis.
It appears that the muslims are employing a 'death by a thousand cuts' strategy here in the United States. This nonsense needs to be slapped down - decisively.
Oh, the imams. I thought they meant Americans had lost sleep and developed anxiety about flying.
The imams should be sued for millions of bucks by all concerned including the airways.
"I thought they meant Americans had lost sleep and developed anxiety about flying."
That's part of the ultimate goal of these "religious leaders".
I can guarantee you that if muslims or anyone for that matter start acting squirrely right before I board an airplane, I'll be raising hell just like these passengers did.
If the muslims win this case, RIP airline industry...as if they needed additional problems to worry about.
Might be time to invest in a Madden-cruiser.
I think so too. And every customer should sue any employee who embarasses them by not ringing up their purchase. Sue them for humiliation, harassment, whatever.
To me, that's what all of this is about, intimidation and bullying.
They are and the United States and certain other prganizations are aiding and abetting them immensely in this.
I still say that every muslim in the United States should be deported immediately.

Then the muslims would sue you for discrimination. They aim to bankrupt anybody that would make an issue of their innappropriate behavior. Here is what they are really up to, from the article:
But the most alarming aspect of the imams' suit is buried in paragraph 21 of their complaint. It describes "John Doe" defendants whose identity the imams' attorneys are still investigating. It reads: "Defendants 'John Does' were passengers ... who contacted U.S. Airways to report the alleged 'suspicious' behavior of Plaintiffs' performing their prayer at the airport terminal."
The muslim strategy is to use the U.S. legal system to bludgeon anyone who stands up to them. Even if they lose, you will have to pay a fortune in legal fees. If they do this with anyone who tries to rat them out, they will go after that person night and day. The idea is to intimidate average Americans with pit-bull attack lawyers, something many people worry about more than hijackers. More proof that islam is evil and the court system in the U.S. is broken.
These ahole imams should be shipped down to Gitmo and put in a nude pyramid just like at Abu Graib. When they agree to stop ther silly lawsuit, give them back their clothes and a one way plane ticket to Iran.
Perhaps the best approach is to back the defendants in the John Doe law suit, get some good legal talent who can tie CAIR to the terrorist organizations, then get congress to limit the ability of terrorist front groups to sue American citizens.
"In retribution for this action, the unnamed couple probably will be dragged into court soon and face the prospect of hiring a lawyer, enduring hostile questioning and paying huge legal bills. The same fate could await other as-yet-unnamed passengers on the US Airways flight who came forward as witnesses."So what?
Litigation has made a mess of the American health care system and priced health care out of the reach of everyone. Most Americans don't seem to care. Why would they care if it becomes a major weapon in the terrorists' war against the U.S.A.?

Why would anyone turn to the Muslim faith, if the people who are charged with teaching it and living it can turn into victimized depressed losers by the simple act of removing them from an airplane?
Not much of a religion for living there, is it? Christians held their heads high while getting them chopped off, and the leaders of Islam run like little girly men to the authorities complaining that they can't sleep because some evil old guy used a cell phone to complain about them.
If I was a Muslim, I'd be pretty upset at these people being the public "face" of my religion.
