Maybe they need to re-incorporate some old school methods.
IIRC, even the XB-70 had a 'sky portal' for star based navigation, and it was a M3+ Inter-Continental Bomber. I would guess its sextant was a module you calibrated, but then maybe not. That is the American way you know!
