I dunno. Do you recall something called "dungaree liberty?" When the base CG wanted to shut down a town and then put it off limits until the locals stopped effing with the troops, he'd authorize a Dungaree Liberty and the town would get TRASHED. I often thought it should have happened to J'ville, NC, as much as they ripped off the Marines at LeJeune and New River...
But what would Portland do if, say, 10,000 vets pulled a Dungaree Liberty in their town???
