Arnie's not a sellout.

He's simply not a conservative, and never pretended to be.

Well, I do like some of Arnold's movies. But I'll side with Rush on this issue. Ahnold is a bit of a sellout. Good politics, perhaps, but he's no conservative. Not by a long shot.

indeed, I fear he'll be on the air trashing Rudy daily.

Rush is best when he attacks the Dems - his biggest failing is - he makes the "base" feels as if they are all powerful, that they and they alone can elect a president in an election, that the base doesn't need independent voters. this is of course - wrong.

Rush cost us the senate seat in Missouri with his michael j fox rant. flame me if you will, but its the truth.

I haven't seen Rudy or any other Republican be direct and tell Liberals they were lying, distorting, and spewing accusations that had no merit in their quest for power. I haven't heard one Republican tell the Democrat leadership that they care nothing about the country, nothing about our security, and that their attempts to stab our troops in the back will not be tolerated by the American people. It's time someone stood up and told the American people that these people are liars, cowards, and traitors.

Sucking up to Liberals will destroy our country.

George Patton we need you now.

The GOP strategy is simple. Let the Dems be themselves. They will self-destruct.

Why intervene when your enemy is committing suicide?

It's disappointing to think of what could have been given that McClintock was pretty much lined up to be the GOP nominee post recall.

Sigh. I can't really talk being from New Jersey and all.

Unfortunately we are not always a majority. I still can't believe we lost Missouri. Missouri used to be a more godly state. And Rick Santorum was soundly defeated, that hurt.

Guess what? Arnold's right! He's not Rush's servant and Rush, as much as I have enjoyed him over the years, does not have the right to decide who is and who isn't a "Real conservative."

Probably Cruz Bustamante by at least 5 points, sad to say. California is not what it used to be. Too much porn perhaps; We used to own that state (Reagan, Deukmejian, Wilson);

ah-nuld would be in the same deep do-do as his predecessor, davis, if it were not for the tax receipts he's enjoyed.

remember one of the issues that got davis kicked out was l.a. county sheriff baca on kfi am 640 saying that he and gov. davis wanted to raise the auto registration fees.

some woman called in and baca insulted her by asking her what kind of car she drove, and he replied if you can afford that kind of car, you can afford more registration. she was infuriated because she said she worked out of her car, as do many professionals.

and, ka-boom! john and ken were off. and people were signing petitions to get rid of davis.

i can't see that ah-nuld is much different than davis.

tom mcclintock would have been a better governor, but this is the left coast.

As an extremely ambitious individual (driven), being governor of CA is only the first step … next … Senator. He is aware that he can’t be President so he will go for the next best thing. To become Senator from CA. he must appease as many voters as possible … he must appear as both Democrat and Republican.

Like Rudy? I wonder what Rush will do if Giuliani becomes the nominee.

If Rudy becomes the nominee, I am voting third party most definately. And yes Arnold is a sellout, Republicans at the top of the food chain in washington are all "rockefeller republicans". they have betrayed conservatives especially the Christian conservatives.

upsdriver in Post #30 has it right. Rush said Ahnold, whatever his party affiliation, isn't a conservative. And, Rush is right.

Being a Republican is one thing, but give me a conservative any day of the week who has the courage of his convictions.

Arnold wimped out, plain and simple!

He's simply not a conservative, and never pretended to be.

Really? What was this?

"Let me tell you what being a conservative means to me. I'm a conservative because I believe communism is evil and free enterprise is good. I'm a conservative because Milton Friedman is right and Karl Marx is wrong. I'm a conservative because I believe government serves the people, the people don't serve the government. I'm a conservative because I believe in a balanced budget, not budget deficits. I'm a conservative because I believe money that people earn is their money and not the government's money. And when you look at the drivers' license outrage, I am a conservative because I believe in the rules of the law, not political pandering." --Arnold Schwarzenegger, California GOP Convention, September 2003
