"...necessary evil to fight crime in a big city."

It's that kind of "the ends justify the means" legislative philosophy that'll eviscerate the constitution (what's left of it). I like and respect Giuliani, but that attitude is dangerous in law enforcement officers, legislators and presidents.

Well personally, I'm pretty sure the Second Amendment applies to the citizens of New York City as well as every other American...but that's just me.

But this story is 1 day old!

Creating mandatory victims is no way to fight a crime problem.

This would make a great tag line and is the money quote from the article.

I can't believe anyone is buying the flip-flopping drivel spewed by Rudy. He's not even good at flip-flopping...before he was against the Second Amendment altogether but now thinks it is not a Constitutional mandate protecting every American citizen's rights but is merely a restraint on the Federal Government.

This guy doesn't have a clue.

This is the main reason why I cannot, and will not support Giuliani in any way, shape, or form for the Republican nomination. If my choices during the primary are Rudy, McCain, and Romney, I will be staying home that day.

I will however, hold my nose and vote for either one of the 3 stooges if one becomes the nominee. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I stayed home during the general election and Hildebeast won.

The former mayor told Hannity that gun control was “appropriate” for the city, but that states and cities should be allowed to make those decisions locally.

Giuliani's own actions expose this statement as a complete lie . . . particularly with regard to: 1) his incessant calls for Federal gun control laws, and 2) his idiotic civil lawsuits against legitimate gun manufacturers outside his jurisdiction.

Gotta hike the cuffs of my pants up, Rudy . . . the BS is gettin' real deep on this one!

In the midst of the fight over the 1994 crime bill and semi-auto gun ban, Giuliani escorted President Clinton to Minnesota to stump for the bill.

Rudy - the best friend in the GOP for gun-grabbing Dems.

In other words, gun control is only justifiable when it comes to people in the inner-city.

In other words, blacks.

Oh, the Democrats are gonna have a field day with this guy.

St Rudy's 'Big City Gun Sensible Control' thinking is 100% in line with that of Mayor Richie Daley (DEM) of Chicago.

They're two peas in a pod as Daley has also sued Gun Manufacturers and has also ruled by fiat that residents of Chicago's Public Housing (all Blacks) have zero rights to own or possess any firearm, of any type - period. No rifles, no shotguns no nothing (all handguns are basically 'illegal' in Chi. anyway).

In Daley's mind Blacks who live in 'his' Public Housing have no right to go out 'to the country' and go Duck, Goose, Elk or Deer hunting (forget for self defense). They're in 'the projects' and they better stay there dammit -- and like it!

This is the same exact mindset of St Rudy with guns and big cities. Maybe St Rudy would tap 'King Richie' as a running mate since they're so alike.

(Daley made this 'No Long Gun' ruling after a Black gang banger used an abandoned apartment as a Sniper perch and Killed a little girl (also Black) a couple blocks away who was walking to school.)
