Hopefully, he won't do much better with the Catholics either.

Again, there are NO true conservative Republican announced candidates yet.
Fred Thompson would be the only conservative in the race if he joins it......
To: traditional1
Duncan Hunter not only announced, he makes Thompson seem like a schoolgirl.

"Three is one marriage too many for them," said Land, referring to the 16.4 million members of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's largest Protestant group. Both Giuliani and Gingrich have been married three times.I guess two is ok, then. Somebody stop this guy when he starts making sense. :-)

Why would they support a nonChristian who doesn't even pretend to share their values. I could see them supporting an Orthodox Jew, but NOT a lapsed Catholic.

I suppose the Southern Baptists will happily vote for once-married Hillary Rodham Clinton in the upcoming election.
To: HitmanLV
It appears that Mr. Land (whoever he is), just loves to hear himself speak. Another Donald Wildmon type idiot.

This isn't a problem, as he'll be getting all of the Democrat votes. Aren't you paying attention here on FR?

Rudy is more than just a lapsed Catholic. He might as well be an atheist(as if I had any room to criticize, but the point still stands)

Yep, as an agnostic, I have no use for those who claim to be (fill in the blank) but live their lifestyle contrary to the teachings of that creed.

"Duncan Hunter not only announced, he makes Thompson seem like a schoolgirl."I don't think so, but you can back the non-recognized (no name recognition) candidate like most others who are misled.....Duncan Hunter will assure a Republican loss, if he even can win the nomination to begin with...
Since 1994 Hunter has received $40,700 from Wilkes and his companies. In 1997 Hunter and Cunningham worked to extend a multi-million dollar earmark for Wilkes ADCS to perform document conversion tasks for the Pentagon despite protests from the Defense Department, which claimed that ADCS services were not needed and a waste of resources. [3] Senator John McCain denounced the House Armed Services Committee for wasting resources in the Defense appropriations bill. One of the earmarks, worth $9.7 million, was for ADCS to convert maps of Panama into electronic documents. Hunter and Cunningham both warned, at the time, that China was planning on invading Panama and that America should have electronic documentation of the buildings in the country. They used this premise to justify their inclusion of the $9/7 million earmark that the Pentagon did not want in the appropriations bill.
No doubt they have an agenda but the list is extensive. Obviously you know of it and must believe it is manageable

No. Fortunately, there is only one of those.
