I have seen nothing that convinces me that those lights were UFO's. To me they look like parachute flares that I have seen numerous times while in the Navy. Same drop pattern, same dimming as they burn out. But then again if they were something as simple as flares why didn't the military just come out with the simple explanation? Unless a black project aircraft dropped them.

There were two events that day in Phoenix. The first involved a gigantic triangular shaped flying thing which over-flew the city, then hours later the lights seen over the surrounding mountains. Sym apparently witnessed the first event and 'may have' witnessed the lights later. In any event, he certainly tried to ridicule the notion of an extra-terrestrial craft over the Phoenix area. Now, for some strange reason known only to him, he is recanting his earlier ridicule.
