OH DEAR - that is outragiously STACKED. Larry & I had the computer up DURING the march on EarthLink and Google Earth. We were flipping through for LIVE shots all day long. There is NO WAY there were that many ... not to mention several YouTube videos we just went back through. NO WAY!!!
I saw the number in a couple of the original posts the day of the event - 3/17. Click on the RED link at the top of the News/Activism page and you can look through those threads.

The mob in the background was pasted in behind the gaggle up front. The colors and lighting are all wrong between the two SEPARATE shots!
One thing that struck me as odd is that the red/orange sign held up at the back of the crowd is brighter than those at the front. Granted the focus is on the center of the crowd. He has foreshortened the shot and makes it seem like a larger crowd. Still, sees like there are too many yellow signs in the center foreground.
