Just checking in while waiting for a lift up the hospital to see dad - sorry will not be around live today.
Dad is in hospital with broken elbow and suspected broken hip. I am visiting him this afternoon so will not be on the thread today - please freep me with any awards etc and I will post as soon as possible. He has had 2 Xrays which confirmed broken elbow but inconclusive on hip whether old injury aggravated by fall or new injury also need to check state of bones to determine how to treat. Plus his blood at present is too thin to operate as he is on long acting blood thinners. They are expecting to do bone scan on Monday and if the blood and results of the scan are conclusive operate either late Monday or Tuesday
So sorry to hear of your dad's recent spate of problems.
Hope he feels much better soon.
Dear Lord,
Please look down with Your favor on Snug's Dad and heal his broken bones quickly and painlessly. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen!
Praying for you and your Dad, snugs. What a nasty thing to happen to your dear father. I hope he is not in much pain, and that his blood thinner situation stabilizes quickly, and that he has caring top-drawer doctors, nurses and caregivers.
Prayers for your Dad Snugs. Hang in there sweet lady!
Sorry to hear about your dad... hope all goes well.
Sending prayers for your dad and you, snugs

Prayers for your dad.
While you're about looking after him, make sure that you don't neglect yourself. If you wear yourself out you won't be in a position to continue helping him. Take time out for you to catch your breath and recharge.
Prayers for your dad, snugs. I hope all goes well for you.
Snugs you tell your Dad we're praying for him, and for you too. You sure have carried a heavy burden for a lot of years. Goes to show just how tough the Brits really are.
Mine's in an assisted living place about 600 miles away, fresh out of ICU (again), this time with congestive heart failure.
I was lucky enough to get to spend a week with him last week. Drove down there to see an Uncle (92, WWII vet) laid to rest and took some time off to spend with Pops. Got him out for a drive every day, I think I made him feel like the days when he had a staff car and driver, only now he has to bring his walker along in the boot.
Made me wish I could have spent more time, so much so, I'm applying for jobs in the area. I figured "Hey, I'm unattached, I hate my Boston moonbat clients, I can't keep up with the Taxachusetts, what the heck". I can help my sister out with Pop and spend time with Mom too, who's not in great shape either.
Plus, there's got to be a larger pool of Conservative Republican women in Virginia than up here.
Best wishes for your Dad, hope it's not a broken hip, they can be a bit dicey in the elderly.
Sending prayers for your Dad, snugs. Breaks are so tough in older folks, particularly when on blood thinners for other good health issues. You are an angel, dear FRiend .. prayers for strength and fortitude for you.
Boy do you have your hands full! I wish I could make you a nice Yorkshire Pudding/Popover and send it through cyberspace. Prayers for your Dad's recovery and less stress on you in caring for him so well. I am up very late this Am, but wanted to make an appearance even in the groggy state.
Prayers for your dad. Let me know if you need someone to sneak him some whiskey. I have sources.....
You're the BEST, snugs!!! Dad is very lucky to have you. You are a good daughter--so dedicated and loving.
I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's injuries. I'll be praying for him, and you as well. God bless.
Snugs I generally read these threads too late to bother posting to them, but I hope your dad recovers quickly and fully. I hope surgery isn't necessary. Take care and God bless.
