That was also my thought, too. In the US, black women seem to be in the position of power. Maybe that is why black men are converting to Islam...as a way to obtain power over others, since historically the Muslim religion places men in the position of overlords to their wives and children. I'm surprised black women would go along with this.

America will not fall from a loss due to conflict but from a force from within. This cancer called Islam has already infected the poor in urban nieghborhoods, offering them money and services and telling them the government will not take care of you like Allah will, the criminals in our jails, convincing them thier incarceration is only because of thier racial makeup and thier crime is not a crime in Allahs eyes. And the social misfits who need to belong and are haters of all that is America. Under the guise of religious freedom and the help of our liberal fiends they will continue to thrive and cause much more problems for us in the future!

There is a very recent effort to legitimize Black attraction to islam by revising history to aver that a significant % of Africans brought here during the slave trade era were in fact muslims. I first saw it about a month ago in a Newsday article about islam on Long Island. I dug around a bit and found that this idea has been bubbling around the edges of the fringe academia for a few years. There may have been a few muslim Africans who ended up here in chains but even if (big if) this were true any cultural remnants disappeared a long long time ago.
