Bush 2004 Florida - 52%
Katherine Harris 2006 Florida - 38%

that 14% difference, those are republican minded independents and republicans not consumed with the social litmus test issues. you need them to win.

How can you say that with a straight face when this country is split right down the middle and anyone who wins will have to pull in Independent votes as well as Moderate Democrat votes. Reagan did it and formed a whole voting block known as "Reagan Democrats." Rudy will be able to do the same thing.

I agree, and the whole "vote Rudy, he can bit Shillery" meme is starting to wear thin. Hillary is formidable never make the mistake of believing otherwise. She will get some votes, she has the machinery in place and there is, unfortunately, no dearth of voters who will fall for her socialist, nanny-state pablum. Even so, bring her and her skeleton laden closet on!
