Windfalls of War: Perini Corporation (Feinstein getting rich on war)
Center for Public Integrity ^ | May 2004 | —Bob Williams

Posted on 03/31/2007 7:21:09 AM PDT by DBCJR

Founded more than a century ago in Massachusetts as a civil infrastructure contractor, Perini is known today for its hospitality and gaming industry projects, and for its corrections, health care, sports, entertainment and educational expertise. It is the largest casino and hotel builder in the United States. It also builds hospitals, prisons and public buildings. In addition, Perini is a major player in civil infrastructure construction, working on everything from bridges and highways to subways and airports.

Chairman and CEO Ronald Tutor and billionaire investor Richard Blum, who together own investment groups that hold 75 percent of Perini's voting stock, control the company. Blum is the husband of U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

In addition to Perini, Tutor and Blum conduct a great deal of business through another company called Tutor-Saliba. Among that company's largest projects is the Los Angeles subway system.

Corruption and questionable business dealings at the expense of the American public is nothing new for the DiChiFi Blum Brigade.

It would be nice to see how much money they pay the union bosses under the table to sing lullaby's to their members to eliminate work stoppages...

While the often reviled Haliburton has won few contracts in a no
bid situation, over 50 percent of Blum's contracts were awarded on
a no-bid basis.

In an odd way, I find this comforting.

The day when Republicans have the near-total legal immunity
that Democrats/liberals enjoy...
will spell the end of this country.

"You been talkin about this old hag's corruption for years on FR!"

Of course she's corrupt. She's a left wing Rat. No surprises here. What would be astonishing is if this is ever covered in the driveby media and, at long last, undoes her from the Senate--completely.

Wonder if this could be used to remove her????

The Left always complains about profiteering, yet never sees it on their side of the aisle. Most people wouldn't know about this or the Heinz Corporation (aka John Kerry) making all the MREs for the troops.

Tutor Saliba is one of the shoddiest, and most corrupt companies in the world.

In my personal opinion, Feinstein has been dirty for years. She was apparently involved in questionable land exchanges between the Federal government and a company that contributed to her campaign(s), if I remember correctly. I posted some of the relevant info (with citations) here:

Hey, isn’t FR based in her district?

Actually, from what I've heard, the answer is 'NO.' And if your post was intended to be funny, I would suggest that it needed a 'sarcasm' tag.

FYI, you are referring to the US Senator who stated on SeeBS, regarding firearms owned by US citizens, that if she had had ONE extra vote, it would have been 'Mr. & Mrs. America, turn them all in' (that's from memory - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). In my personal opinion, Senator Feinstein has more in common with the Chicom dictators she visits on a repeated basis, than she does with the American citizens she purports to represent.

Again, that's just my personal opinion...

If we want this investigated we will have to get Haliburton to make a buyout offer.
