It’s tragic the officers (and others) who have been killed by a poor performing holster.
The pain comes two ways. One when a suspect is successful in disarming the officer. The other is when the officer is shot or stabbed while fumbling with a retention mechanism. That's why the article points out that the holster is only 1/3 of the picture. Proper training and a will to survive are the other 2/3s.
