ST. CATHARINES An undercover police truck with two firearms inside was stolen from St. Catharines Thursday morning, prompting Niagara Regional Police to ask for the publics assistance locating it. The unmarked grey 2006 GMC Sierra licence plate 803 8RM had been issued to an officer as part of an investigation.
The officer was authorized to take the vehicle home. But on Thursday morning, the truck had disappeared from the parking lot of an apartment building in north St. Catharines.
The officers lock box was inside the truck. Stored in the box were a service pistol and a police-issued shotgun and ammunition. The vehicle also contained a bulletproof vest. The NRPs criminal investigation branch and Ontario Provincial Police auto theft team are investigating. Police said the theft appeared to be random and there was no information to indicate the officer or the vehicle had been targetted. Police have asked anyone with information to call the NRP at 905-688-4111, ext. 4272 or Crime Stopper at 1-800-222-TIPS.
I can’t find a link, but I just heard on Fox News that someone put some kind of chemical all over playground equipment, and a child suffered burns. Have you heard anything about this?
