A: (9/11 picture)

Not bumper sticker material, but...

“It’s the same as “Bush Lied” or Illegal War For Oil” , or Bush’d War for his frat Buddies”

But those “talking points” did not work for the dims, Bush was reelected in ‘04 despite the constant caterwauling of these phrases. I believe I read the % of the Am public that believes Bush lied has remained pretty constant. People that want to believe it will, others think for themselves.

What we can learn from this is exactly what I’ve been saying. The left uses those phrases because they resonate WITH THEM, however, they don’t resonate with the general public. In other words, efforts to foist those opinions on the public have failed.

What turned public opinion were the mounting casualties and the constant drum beat and pics from the MSM that we were losing in Iraq and in fact maybe couldn’t win due to the religious rivalries and hatred between sunni and shia. This has been effective because the people who run the MSM are a whole lot smarter than the left wing fanatics that get out and carry idiotic signs to make themselves feel good but are not persuasive with the general public.

We should endeavor to be as smart as the MSM and avoid the mistakes of left wing fanatics.

Here are some for liberals to piss them off

“I want US out of Iraq only becuase I hate Bush”
“I don’t care about the Iraqi children killed by terrorists. I’m selfish. Bring the troops back home”
“Yes, I want another 9/11 so let US retreat from Iraq”

A little long, maybe, but see the tagline. (I’ve had it for a year or two now, I think.)

I have one
“Defeat the terrorist helpers in congress and you win the war in Iraq”

“Surrender in Iraq
Because I Hate Bush”

That may be one political message we could use simply because it’s satire.

Might be able to use that tagline...it isn’t specific to a party but the inferrence is there....

One way or another I think you need at least one, maybe two or three, that hammer home the Vietnam parallel.

Here's a rough idea, off the cuff. Maybe it can be rendered pithier somehow:

VIETNAM: Strategic Significance -- LOW; Consequence of Defeat -- HIGH.
IRAQ: Strategic Significance -- HIGH; Consequence of Defeat -- ASTRONOMICAL.
