What we WANT to do is simply to achieve the exact same goals as our vitrolic, hate-filled enemies...
Put enough hyperbole into the average person’s mind, in passing glimpses, to create a spark of doubt when they hear the hate and spew of a leftist....
It’s the same as “Bush Lied” or Illegal War For Oil” , or Bush’d War for his frat Buddies”, only using TRUTH and FACTS to get the point across...
ADVERTISING your viewpoint works, and helps to get it out above the din. It’s the same for a political message, as it is for saugage links...
But those “talking points” did not work for the dims, Bush was reelected in ‘04 despite the constant caterwauling of these phrases. I believe I read the % of the Am public that believes Bush lied has remained pretty constant. People that want to believe it will, others think for themselves.
What we can learn from this is exactly what I’ve been saying. The left uses those phrases because they resonate WITH THEM, however, they don’t resonate with the general public. In other words, efforts to foist those opinions on the public have failed.
What turned public opinion were the mounting casualties and the constant drum beat and pics from the MSM that we were losing in Iraq and in fact maybe couldn’t win due to the religious rivalries and hatred between sunni and shia. This has been effective because the people who run the MSM are a whole lot smarter than the left wing fanatics that get out and carry idiotic signs to make themselves feel good but are not persuasive with the general public.
We should endeavor to be as smart as the MSM and avoid the mistakes of left wing fanatics.
