Giuliani continues to lead McCain among Pro-Choice voters and among Pro-Life voters

Did the pollsters ask how many of the "Pro-Life voters" are actually aware that Rudy is pro-abortion?

I submit that when they become aware of that fact, the pro-life Republican base will abandon Rudy for a pro-life candidate.

Indeed, in one recent poll, majorities of Republicans who were informed of Giuliani’s views on social issues said that they were either minor issues or no issues at all; only 16% said that they wouldn’t vote for him after being informed of these views.

In the online GOP Bloggers poll, Giuliani is consistently one of the few candidates to end up with a net positive acceptability rating. These internet denizens are well-informed, and overwhelmingly self-describe as conservative (78% self-describe as 7 or higher on a 10-scale of conservatism). If these people can support Rudy, anyone can.

So, any pro-life who supports Rudy is too stupid to know what you know?

“Did the pollsters ask how many of the ‘Pro-Life voters’ are actually aware that Rudy is pro-abortion?”

Any pro-lifer unaware of this is not a likely voter. Most Republicans know Rudy’s stand on the social issues—but also realize these are not the main focus of what he’s all about. Right now the polls indicate he would win many blue and purple states—NJ, RI, CT, MN, IO, PA, OH, OR, FL—and probably CA. He is close in NY and would force Hillary to spend big bucks to defend her home turf. That’s the reality Republicans are measuring. Right now Rudy’s our best shot in any match up against Hillary.
