Striking Similarities of Clinton, Giuliani
BY RUSSELL BERMAN - Staff Reporter of the Sun
April 3, 2007
WASHINGTON The Democratic and Republican front-runners for president who will campaign in Iowa today are a New York politician with a history of marital trouble who favors abortion rights and gay rights, opposes immediate and total withdrawal from Iraq, favors intervening in the crisis in Darfur, uses September 11 as a constant touchstone, and has a stump speech calling for America to pursue energy independence the same way it reacted to the Soviet launch of Sputnik 50 years ago and a New York politician with a history of marital trouble who favors abortion rights and gay rights, opposes immediate and total withdrawal from Iraq, favors intervening in the crisis in Darfur, uses September 11 as a constant touchstone, and has a stump speech calling for America to pursue energy independence the same way it reacted to the Soviet launch of Sputnik 50 years ago.
One is a lawyer, and the other is, well, a lawyer.
The difference? Mayor Giuliani says his wife, Judith, a former nurse, advises him on health care policy. Senator Clinton already served as a health care adviser to her husband when he was president.

Great post. Fortunately, I think they will both be defeated in their party’s primaries.

The debates would be boring as hell.
They agree on at least 40% of the issues, though it might be amusing or funny to watch Rudy lurch even more leftward on gun control then Hillary, but I wouldn't be laughing.
Policy wise, Hillary Clinton, Obama, and Rudy do have a great deal of policies and approaches that they can agree on, they differ on alot of other policies though, mostly economic.

On global warming, Mr. Giuliani's attitude is similar: "My frustration with it is, we don't do anything. We just talk about it. We don't do anything anymore."

Calling all RudyBots...calling all RudyBots...respond to a 402 [non-complimentary news story about Rudy], suspect is Ol' Sparky, weapons are released, you have authorization from the Rudy-Borg-Collective to open fire.
That is all.

Great article. Sadly there is a ton of truth to that. Rudy really is as much a Democrat as a Republican. I’m blown away by the amount of support he gets on here. If you told a man on the street some of Rudy’s positions without telling them his name they’d be convinced you were talking about some flaming lib.

Exactly. That's why is so important to talk about JulieAnnie as much as we can. The more we get the 'word out' (especially with relatives, friends, coworkers)--the sooner we can make more voters aware of how LIBERAL he really is.
There was a good reason why HE WAS NOT EVEN INVITED TO THE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION in '96!!!!

I don’t think he’s given any suggestions. Just complained that people are only talking about it and not doing anything about it, just like him.
I’d imagine his handlers are keepign him from making too many pronouncements. His only talking points seem to be the WOT and tax cuts. Oh, and mentioning Reagan 5 times a minute.

Another good tagline would be,
"Clinton did all that he could do in the WOT"!!
It's mind boggling that JulieAnnie could even say that with a straight face!!!
I'm sure that quote played really well with all Rudy's liberal buddies (not to mention at DU, KOS, etc). How come the Rudy sycophants don't cite THAT quote??
