TALLAHASSEE, Florida (CNN) -- Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani told CNN Wednesday he supports public funding for some abortions, a position he advocated as mayor and one that will likely put the GOP presidential candidate at odds with social conservatives in his party.
"Ultimately, it's a constitutional right, and therefore if it's a constitutional right, ultimately, even if you do it on a state by state basis, you have to make sure people are protected," Giuliani said in an interview with CNN's Dana Bash in Florida's capital city.

Giuliani also vowed to appoint conservative judges to the bench, though denied such a promise was a "wink and a nod" to conservatives in support of overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision on abortion.
"A strict constructionist judge can come to either conclusion about Roe against Wade," he said. "They can look at it and say, 'Wrongly decided thirty years ago, whatever it is, we'll over turn it.' [Or] they can look at it and say, 'It has been the law for this period of time, therefore we are going to respect the precedent.' Conservatives can come to that conclusion as well. I would leave it up to them. I would not have a litmus test on that."

Obviously you couldn't, so you stand branded as a liar.
I made my position on the problem of illegal aliens perfectly clear quite some time ago, anyone can read it here.
Additionally, I have made plenty of posts illustrating WHY the government turns a blind eye to the problem..., we have a labor shortage that will increase yearly for the next twenty years that illegal albor helps fill, they get billions of dollars in unclaimed SS payments from illegal aliens, and industry gets billions of dollars in labor savings yearly by using illegal labor.
Although I would never vote for Rudy McRomney, I do admire Guliani’s honesty. I wish more politicians would be as direct as he is.
Moreover, he wants to portray himself as a fiscal conservative when he spent so much money in the last five years as mayor that New York ended up being saddled with the second-highest debt in the nation other than Federal deficit.
Mmmmm.
I get a different story when I GOOGLE Giuliani's budgets as mayor...here's one:
"Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani said today that the disciplined fiscal strategy of the past five years has resulted in the largest revenue surplus in the City's history. In releasing New York City's 1999 Executive Budget, the Mayor said that the $2 billion surplus will help reduce the out-year gaps to keep the City fiscally sound, cut taxes in order to increase private sector job growth, and increase spending in strategic areas to improve the quality of life for all New Yorkers."
Now, 9/11 put an incredible strain on NYC's budget, which may have eaten up the surplus, but that has no bearing on whether he is a fiscal conservative or not.
