TEHRAN, Iran - Fifteen British sailors and marines released by Iran arrived at Tehran's airport early Thursday and were expected to board a commercial flight to London, according to an Associated Press reporter at the scene.

The 15, whose release from nearly two weeks in Iranian captivity was announced Wednesday by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, arrived in a convoy of sedans that drove directly to the presidential VIP section of the airport, the reporter said.

It’s not my path, but lets give credit to the British way of successfully handling the situation.

They’ve gotten back their Marines without bloodshed or bribes or appeasement or trades (so far as I know).

Kudos to the UK.

I take it that Iran keeps the ship?

So Iran illegally take hostages and then Britons bend over and say thanks. Hmmm.

I sure hope that when they get home the Brits bomb the hell out of the iranian navy and say try to do it again.

PS. Fat chance of this happening. :(

Agreed.. Cooler heads may have prevailed this go-around, however this is just delaying the inevitable, imo.

Those released and others may well see action back there again.

Enjoy the falling pump prices to come and soon, hopefully.

If Iran tried to buy a warship or gunboat from a Western country, we’d probably laugh at them. But this was brilliant...not only did they get the boat for free, they got thanked for taking it!

I’m happy the hostages are going home safely, but the PR and glory that Iran’s been able to milk out of this means the Iranians (along with other terrorist nations) will be encouraged to take hostages again. That, I’m not so happy about.

That picture has been edited so that the scowls of some of the captives can't be seen.

Trust the media to highlight the "happy faces".
