In the note, Sampson referred to “[t]he real problem we have right now with Carol Lam that leads me to conclude that we should have someone ready to be nominated 11/18, the day her 4-year term expires,” wrote Sampson, whose recent resignation and testimony have fueled the controversy that may cause Gonzales’ downfall.

So Lam wasn't prosecuting enough "gun cases", and at the same time her counterpart Sutton was inventing them.

Lam gets fired. Sutton gets lauded. Amazingly Gonzales, who fired Lam, gets targeted by Chucky Shumer over the matter.

Is it possible none of these people know what they are doing?! It's pretty clear their rhetoric doesn't match their employee preferences.

The more I learn about this the worse it looks. There are too many coincidences to believe. The timing of when they pulled these attorneys looks really bad.

Not only that, the overall running of the DOJ is problematic. They had a problem with Lam's performance for four years and never discussed it with her. That is not effective management!
