An iPod for every kid? Are they idiots?

We have come to the conclusion that the crisis Michigan faces is not a shortage of revenue, but an excess of idiocy. Facing a budget deficit that has passed the $1 billion mark, House Democrats Thursday offered a spending plan that would buy a MP3 player or iPod for every school child in Michigan.

Sure, why not? Just raise property taxes.

Ipods or baking soda - liberals are not just evil - they're plain stupid.

Just when (with Pelosi in Damascus) I think the stupidity and idiocy of the Democrats has reached a zenith, bam, another story emerges that continues )albeit in a far different light) the legacy of their stupidity and idiocy!
LOL!

April Fools Day was last Sunday, but I guess this just took awhile to get around.
Because it is a joke, right?

I was reading this aloud and my 12-year-old asked, “If the parents can’t afford to buy an Ipod, how can they afford a computer to put stuff ON the Ipod? Or are they giving them a computer, too?”
I’ll admit, I’m still stumped by the question. :\

"Sure, why not? Just raise property taxes."Funny thing also is that there was an auction of properties in Detroit recently and they had trouble getting bidders. The more I hear, the more I can see why.

I read the article. I didn’t see a reason for the purchase of the iPods.
Question: This should be great for Apple stock. Anyone in the legislature own Apple stock? Receive campaign funds from Apple?

We should just open the Sears catalog and give every kid in the US one of each and get it over with. The American taxpayer will be glad to pay the bill. /s
