Dude, first, speaking for your wife (long suffering, it sounds) please tell me where you live so I can come and kick your a$$! LOL! An ironing board?? smirk any intelligent man knows us wimmenfolk all want one of those Roomba thingys!!

Then, get thee to the nearest Apple store or go online and buy her a new Apple laptop (powerbooks?) Get the one with dual processors, then she can run her windows apps too. The advantage to this as opposed to a windows is the ease of use and lack of "honey, my computer won't start...honey, it says I need this....yada yada yada"

Lots of Apple supporters here. Let me see if I understand this. She can run all the PC software and the Apple software with these machines if they are set up to do that, correct? So Microsoft Office with all of its components will run properly on the Apple series computers? What are the downsides for these machines?

**cough** the Roomba is a pretty sweet gift - I got one for Christmas and I love it

As far as comps go - I would suggest A: You stay away from Vista and B: Get a nice Windows XP off of Ebay. I got a very nice souped up one for a fraction of the originial price AND I have a 2 year warranty

Good luck with that "ol' bat" thing.
