Environmentalists, who are skeptical of the proposals, are peeved that the other side has stolen their issue.
This movement has nothing to do with the environment. It has everything to do with socialists and communists using climate change as an excuse to further their socialist/communist agenda. Republicans falling for this sham are only supporting the socialist cause. It's another reason why conservatives should form their own party.

Far less effort and, potentially, faster rewards. Let the liberal Republicans that seem to be growing like a cancer start their own party or go ahead and join the Democrats.

That is why Gore is a "God" to the left while he callously flaunts his wasteful lifestyle. We need fearless, smart and shrewd conservative leaders who can cut through the crap and get the message out.

It’s just typical of the Republicans nowadays. Instead of refuting global warming as a bunch of crock, they have to try and “free market” the issue to play to conservatives. Republicans do this all the time.
