Actually I think the angle to ban smoking has always been the secondhand smoke- IOW your actions are harming others.
But there are also efforts to increase insurance premiums for smokers because their lifestyle increases insurance costs...would they also increase insurance costs for homosexuals on the same grounds?
furthermore, why are they then attempting to make it illegal to smoke in one's own home if it's just secondhand smoke that's the concern?
