Fight Against [D.C. Gun] Ban Grew Out of Fear, Frustration And who runs D.C? Liberals, of course. Liberal govt = fear and frustration. When will the people of D.C. learn their lesson.

As you read through the article all of the liberals simply say , more or less: “I’m afraid of guns so they should be illegal.” If we banned everything that liberals were afraid of we’d no longer have a constitution (afraid of guns, afraid of free speech, afraid of Christians/conservative Jews, afraid of SUVs, etc.)

P232. Very elegant.
I just wish modern firearms had very small and elegant maker’s marks on them, rather than giant stampings or laser etchings of the make and model.

“The success stories of self-defense are few and far between compared to the accidents and negligence and guns being stolen and ending up in crimes and homicides,” he said.” (from the article)
Even if that were true....which it certainly is not, it does not diminish the fact that a person has the RIGHT to own a gun and defend themselves.

Dollars to donut shops the way “he” is counting this is by incidents of people actually shooting back at an attacker. Much more commonly, simply showing the gun suffices and the would be attacker flees.

It’s beyond me why politicians think they have the right to tell a citizen that he or she has no right to use a gun for protection.

Definitely and it's even better to go on and read the comments, all of which ar pro-2d Amendment. I was surprised to see so much good sense from DC residents.
