I don’t think it was the nappy-headed ho comment that got him in trouble. I think it was a subsequent comment about the Jigaboos and Wannabes, which is from Spike Lee’s movie “School Daze.”

Imus, it's time for you to 'apologize'!
What pisses me off about Imus is that he has been pulling this crap for years, and at the same time using celebrity impersonators, etc to paint Rush as a racist on the level of the Klan, with no basis in fact.
I've heard many educated people through the years say that Rush is a racist, though I know they don't listen to Rush, I suspect they pick up on satire and parody of Imus.

So rap song lyrics are okay with this kind of talk, and a white DJ can’t say the same thing? Just wondering. Black rappers have been denigrating women of their own race now for ten or so years. Imus is just parroting what he’s heard.

"Ignorance Offsets" I wonder if know there must be a market for "Ignorance Offsets."
FreeRepublic could sell them to those (liberals/greenies) who have an intense desire to remain ignorant. We could offer to study and learn (something we have a natural tendency for) while they spend their time protesting and being ignorant.
Damn! I'll bet they are too ignorant to recognize this wonderful deal.

This is a tough one for the liberals. Where do you get a guy that call Pres. Bush a war criminal consistently. How do you replace that?
So they are in a conundrum. The solution will be that Imus agrees to denigrate the war and the president and continue the “war criminal” rants at a minium of 2 times per week. His payment is permanent dhimmitude to the Black Caucus of Hucksters.

The black community is ill served by charlatans such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, who came into prominence on the coattails of Martin Luther King, Ralph Abernathy, and the civil rights movemen t of the 1960s. They are useful to the powers that be because they assist in the enforcement of the PC atmosphere against even basically liberal (Don Imus) and non-idelogical (Jimmy the Greek) broadcasters who drift from the received doctrines that white heterosexual males are inherently evil and that nonwhites are above criticism because of past misdeeds, real or imagined, by whites.
Charlatans and establishment front men like Jackson and Sharpton need to go, not Don Imus. And I don't even like him and didn't listen to him when he was broadcast in my area.

Oh heck, it’s probably real. But to get the “Imus” looks, I’d attach a dirty old wig or a really used mop head to a cowboy hat.

This will be enjoyable to watch. It is not beyond the scope of possibility or the fact of history that the left may eat their own. When it best meets their larger political needs. Sure they are more consistently hard on Republicans, but it is possible that this idiot may in the end be let go.
Every lib MSM commentator that is exposed and eliminated is an advance for us.
To: presidio9
Finally, the Left is eating one of their own. This jerk provides an ever present soft ball interview when ever anyone such as John Kerry of Tim Potatohead needs a softball interview to counter any faux pas they commit. Rev Al is interested in one thing: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I saw him on TV last night. If he didn’t jump the shark with his remark, his cringing, immature apology did the trick. But he must have been totslly sincere because he wasn’t wearing his cowboy hat.
