The Kmart where Wyndham worked took all packaged meat off its shelves after an employee conducting a routine inspection found that three packages had been tampered with, The Post and Courier of Charleston reported in Tuesday's newspapers.

Interesting another employee decided to inspect those particular packages at that particular time. Kmart and it’s customers were either very lucky or someone was watching her. We are at the mercy of anyone who wants to tamper with food. Can’t believe she’s walking the streets.

She told agents she wanted to “slow down the meat department’s money making by cutting into their sales,” according to an affidavit.
Wyndham, who usually worked in the dairy area, had argued with her supervisor that day, according to the FBI.
Wyndham had argued with her supervisor that morning because he told her to help hang about 2,700 sale tags in the food market area, according to the FBI agent’s affidavit. Wyndham usually only had to hang tags in the dairy area where she worked.
Wyndham confessed to hiding d-Con rodent poison pellets in several packages of ground beef, the agent said. Wyndham told the agent she wanted to “slow down the meat department’s money-making by cutting into their sales,” according to the affidavit. The agent wrote that Wyndham was upset about Kmart management’s “abuse” of employees. Company spokesman Chris Brathwaite said he wouldn’t comment on anything in the affidavit.
The maximum punishment is three years in prison.
Wyndham was released on a personal recognizance bond but is under house arrest and is being monitored electronically. She is prohibited from entering any Kmart, grocery store or food service establishment and must undergo a psychiatric evaluation, the court said. She could not be reached Tuesday for comment.

Given the court's absurd response to this crime, I guess the company found it necessary to state the obvious.
