APRIL 11-- Joe Francis, the "Girls Gone Wild" founder, was indicted today on federal tax evasion charges for illegally deducting more than $20 million in phony business expenses from his 2002 and 2003 corporate tax returns. According to an indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Reno, Nevada, Francis, 34, sought to conceal income through the use of offshore companies and nominees. At one point, he transferred $15 million from one offshore bank account to a California brokerage account in the name of a Cayman Islands corporation he controlled.
Below you'll find a copy of the indictment filed against Francis, who is pictured in the mug shot at right. If convicted of the federal charges, he faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and fines of up to $500,000.
Francis was arrested yesterday on an unrelated federal warrant stemming from a civil lawsuit brought against him by seven underage women who were filmed by "Girls Gone Wild" cameramen in Florida in 2003. The contempt citation was issued after Francis rebuffed a judge's order to settle the case with the aid of a mediator.

He should go on Imus’s show to plead his case. ;o)
Here’s another post on this guy, and a discussion about what is going on with teens today (in junior high, high school and college) —

This guy might go to jail for several reasons and pay out a lot of money for fines and so on — but he’s not the real problem; he’s only a symptom of the problem.
The real problem comes from these teens and the culture that they are growing up in and what they do with their peers (from age 13 and up)...

Ok, I’ll say it: This Thread Is Worthless Without Pictures.
WOOOO HOOOOOO!
I hate that guy!
Likewise, opening a trust overseas using a lawyer signatory is also legal and done by everyone in Hollywood. This guy must be naive not to know he is just a walking target. Once he hit $20 million should have sold his company for a fortune and moved abroad.
Every year just before the filing deadline we get a report of some high profile person being indicted for tax fraud. This is a well known IRS tactic.
That being said, this guy is scum of the lowest order. As for the decadent culture in which we now find ourselves, all I can say is “thank you, BJ Clinton!”
Did you check post #3? (Boob photo)
:)
You are so right.
Aren’t they supposed to call you in for an audit first?;)
WOOOO HA!
It could not have happened to a nicer sleeaze bucket! Wow! There really is justice in this world.
“Strip down. Bubba and Big Joe want to take some videos of you doing nasty things in your cell...”
I threw up a little.
There’s nothing they can do to this sleazeball that he doesn’t deserve. Talk about gutter slime ...
Sure, but the audit took place long ago. It's the criminal indictment based on the audit that scares people into compliance and that's what they wait to publicly announce until just a few days before the filing deadline.
