“A vote going to a ‘conservative’ 3rd party helps the DEMS win... just like a vote going to a ‘green party’ candidate would help the Republicans win... Can you argue with that? Or do you REALLY think a third party candidate can win?

If you consider facts ‘scare tactics’, that’s your problem.”

eventually it becomes a matter of conscience. How much compromise should be acceptable in our lives?

by voting for them anyways, we send a message that we approve of their behavior. By voting 3rd party, even if we lose this one, we tell the future candidates that to get our votes, they have to stand on issues we believe in and to act accordingly.

"we tell the future candidates that to get our votes..."

Not the time or place... you have plenty of time to make a statement and display 'conviction' during the primaries.

3rd party votes are about as successful for 'making a statement' as a write in vote.

Nobody could think that a write in vote is recognized or considered at all.

But everyone has to do what they think is right... or makes them feel important.
