This whole story is getting absurd. An old windbag said something stupid. Nothing more, nothing less. The girls probably hear worse at away games and certainly have heard worse on many occasions in their lives. With a war on, huge immigration problems, and an election coming you’d think we could find better things to talk about. Instead everybody is tripping over-themselves about this and folks are going into fullblown pander mode over comments by a washed up windbag most Americans have never listened to.
At the end of the day though what victory is won by getting Imus fired? Nothing. An old shock jock is off the air. Big deal! That does nothing to change anyone’s life and does nothing for the black community. All the energy wasted on this nonissue would have been better spent trying to solve issues in the black community such as rampant disrespect of women, teenage pregnancy, drug use, crime, a lack of emphasis placed on education, and absentee fatherhood. Instead so called black leaders would rather focus on things like this and what flag flies over the South Carolina State House. Why? Because they have a vested interest in keeping the black community down and in profiting from “victimhood.”
