These kids should be taught to mess up the forms every chance they get. What’s with all these data collectors needing to know race, anyway? They stick those boxes on so many forms now-a-days, and 85% of the time it serves no purpose whatsoever. Few Americans have a homogeneous bloodline anymore. That’s so (dare I say it?) “European.” Within a few generations, our kids won’t even know what race they are. That will make the racial box check and quotas obsolete. And that’s a good thing.
Oh but there is. The govt (meaning liberals)see people always as members of some group-- ethnic group, racial group, economic group, cultural group and whatever else...and then decide what victim status to assign to that group. Once a victim status has been assigned, it comes up with programs to help that group move ahead and overcome all barriers placed before it by an unjust society. But programs require money, and people, to administer. Thus new taxes are introduced, existing ones raised, more people hired and new govt agencies and depts formed. Getting your racial information is about helping you.
Like Chris Rock said, White women don’t even need scales anymore. If a black man is hitting on you, you know your fat.
1. It's hip (tattoo, piercing, and rap video ho).

Black guys when I was in school used to have contests to see how many white girls they could knock-up as their way of "protesting" whites.
But what do I know? Maybe they just love each other.
The ‘marriage’ numbers are misleading...around here they usually don’t get married so that the taxpayers can ‘foot the bill’. Single mothers get lots of perks.
I believe we are there already. Post number 43 explains why we haven’t done away with it yet: too many people make money and are dependent on “classification”.
I think if the liberals would leave everyone alone, we could eradicate racism in one generation.
Yeah,there ARE black guys who brag about”pulling snow bunnies”like that makes them all that.
Yet it goes the other way too.Like the clique of young white kids from my suburban hometown whose hobby was to frequent black hos in the Tenderloin of San Francisco and brag about how little money they paid them.
Same thing is most emphatically true of the "Digital Divide."But the answer in both cases is excruciatingly obvious:
"Where would the fun or the profit be in that?"
...and dumb as a brick.
We do the same. An aside....the people who have the biggest problem with our marriage and children (I'm white, my wife American-Indian) are almost always liberals.

My guess is among other reasons, this convention has been defined by liberals as it adds to their constituent base. If you are non white, you are automatically a Democrat. Racism is so deeply rooted in liberalism, just that its not immediately obvious.
I go to a rather conservative church. We have several mixed couples- more than you would see in our general population. They obviously feel welcome amongst what many would consider a “far right” group.
I always check the box that says Native American. My kids were born in this country, therefore they are native Americans. And if that throws off their silly statistics, so much the better.
I was going by what I saw, not stats or numbers.
One thing I do like about this is that I might be able to use it to shoot down some stuff that some friends of mine who are black (they're girls with white boyfriends) have been claiming.
You are correct, the government has no business in regulating marriage between races any more than it does with Anna Nicole Smith marrying an octogenarian oil tycoon or who Ellen Degeneres’ latest partner is or the agreement that Hugh Hefner’s three 20-something girlfriends have between themselves. It’s simply not the government’s role.
The psychology of it all is very puzzling, but it does seem to align with George Orwell’s and Aldous Huxley’s recognition that in order to achieve the dytopias of ‘1984’ and ‘Brave New World’, a complete break with cultural identity, heritage, and history is required. The goal is a population that can a only respond with an ‘I don’t see what wrong with that’. We are well along that road. The norms and values held across all cultures for thousands of years are being rejected because a generation has been raised to ‘not see what’s wrong with that’. If fact, that’s the highest virtue in contemporary pop culture.
But of course, such discussions are fashionable these days - Say the wrong thing and the Hypocrisy gods will demand your head on a plate.
