Imus ‘fight’ is over money, fame
Kansas City Star ^ | April 15, 2007 | JASON WHITLOCK

Posted on 04/15/2007 10:36:23 AM PDT by ConservativeStatement

When I criticized his and Jesse Jackson’s irresponsible and divisive methods of seeking social justice Friday morning, Al Sharpton dismissed the attack by questioning my credibility to lodge a complaint.

“There are always guys that are not in the ring who want to call the fight,” Sharpton said. “You know that going in the ring; you’re going to have critics … You can’t satisfy people who are not in the ring.”

It’s a clever response. It ignores the obvious.

Jesse and Al don’t want anyone else in the ring. They’ve turned the fight for racial equality into a money and fame pit, a place to wrestle for camera time, “consulting” jobs and handshake deals that would make NCAA investigators blush in astonishment.

If people with a modicum of integrity were allowed in the ring and, more importantly, allowed to choose the opponents and the length of the battle, the money would run dry and Jesse and Al would be forced to look for real work.

Fighting bums is easy. Just look at what Jesse and Al James did to Don Imus, a washed-up, recovering drug addict. They knocked out Imus in a couple of rounds.

I wish they’d go after Rush. Rush can counter-punch. But they know they’re out classed, so all they can do is have their henchmen prosecutors try to indict him.

Yes, some good analysis that will be ignored by the rest of the liberal press.

Every ounce of Power Sharpton & Jackson have comes from the Liberal MSM. If they told the truth about them, or ignored them, they would fade away almost instantly.

Now Sharpton and Jackson have the Liberal media in their cross-hairs. Jackson put MSNBC on notice that they were “all white.” Now, I bet we’ll see the way Sharpton and Jackson are covered will change dramatically unless they back off.

It was irresponsible, self-indulgent and typical of the kind of domestic terrorism Sharpton and Jackson have come to specialize in.<<

WOW!!! a Home Run!!! “DOMESTIC TERRORISM”
It’s time to put some pressure on the free market enterprises that support and consult them...expose them for what they are...

After all.... http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1817633/posts

Sharpton Lied!!!...People Died!!!
Imus Joked!!...and the MSM Choked!!

Sharpton and Jackson ARE the leaders and spokespersons for the mainstream media/liberals/Democrats — in the same vein they’ve been anointed the leaders and spokespersons for “blacks.”

The media lynch mob is just looking for its next victim. That’s how it works.

They’re not looking for people to talk sense to one another.

They want to maximize hatred and bigotry — so they have something to report on and be “experts” about.

The Media itself IS the next target. Jackson already told MSNBC they have a “problem.” Now that the Justice Brothers have turned on their MSM, the MSM will begin to marginalize them. It’s already begun. A lot of stories about Sharpton and Jackson over the last few days have been negative.

Aw-w-w-w look at the bright side. With the fortunes ole Al and Jesse have acquired maybe they’ll take on the fight to reduce the inheritance tax. One can hope.

There are lots of intelligent (black) people to pay attention to, so why should the media spend so much time denouncing Sharpton and Jackson as icons of any stature.

Wouldn’t a more intelligent thing be, to find the most lucid thinking people in the world and bring them to our attention instead of a constant parade of media mediocrities and charlatans who have nothing intelligent or of value to say — just so one can prove their superiority to one another?

Why are they concerning themselves with who is worser in American society? Wouldn’t it be more productive to find the best and the brightest?

Jackson put MSNBC on notice that they were “all white.”

The first ad for Tiki Barber's new gig ran on NBC today. After John Ridley's comments that "unless Imus is replaced with a man/woman of color, things will just go back to the way they were," perhaps the former Giants running back will be sentenced to the early morning time slot on MSNBC. Then he can compete with his former "friends" on Fox and really find out what it's like to be clotheslined.

Intelligent people don’t need “leaders” to speak for them; that is the whole condescending and patronizing mentality of the (white) liberals that belies and betrays their real feelings of magnanimity and equality.

The worst thing about liberals is that they believe their own lies they are trying to get everybody else to believe about themselves.

When we see these things clearly, the problems disappear immediately — rather than being perpetuated and escalated in a national dilemma and quandary.

The con-artists of the world will insist we need a lot of time and much more money to solve these problems — of simple clarity and understanding.

Everybody can go home; they’ll be no crucifixion today.

Because liberals believe that black people are too stupid to think for themselves and need the help of “leaders” in the form of preachers-in-name-only and government entitlements. When liberals stole blacks from Africa, it reinforced their thinking that these “savages” would always need guidance to survive. So liberals in every institution prop up Jackson and Sharpton and call them civil rights’ guardians, meanwhile they enslave blacks and other minorities by promising more and more money as long as they don’t work or try to help themselves in a positive manner. Some blacks find it easier to wait for the next insult to explain the reasons they don’t succeed, rather than better themselves through hard work and stable families.

Jackson and Sharpton were simply obeying the command of their master...Hillary Clinton. She wants to be the Democrat candidate for President and Imus was steering his liberal audience towards Obama.

Jesse and Al were happy to oblige because they see Obama as a threat to their positions as "leaders" in the black community. It was their own campaigns that gave them some semblance of legitimacy (and somehow got the media to forget about their own race-baiting history). A nomination for Obama would move him ahead of both Jesse and Al, because neither one had made it that far in their campaigns, plus Jesse has already jumped the media shark, and Al is just a media whore who really doesn't add any substance to a real political discussion.

The problem is, the MSM built them up and gave them national platforms. Now that the MSM is their target, they have to break them down on the way to ignoring them all together.
