Al Sharpton's Democratic Party
New York Observer [Left] ^ | 4/16/2007 | Azi Paybarah

Posted on 04/15/2007 3:06:13 PM PDT by justiceseeker93

Al Sharpton really enjoys making candidates beg for his endorsement.

And yet they come.

And next week, Mr. Sharpton will take over the swanky Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers and spend four days granting an audience to every Democrat who wants to be President.

He's not saying anything definitive yet about which candidates he likes best, of course. He just offers clues.

"On the war, Kucinich is probably the closest, because I feel we should defund the war," he said. "On some issues of poverty, Edwards is closer. Health care - Hillary. In terms of racial profiling, probably Obama. All of them have been close in some area."

...........................

To those interested in winning the Democratic nomination, ... Mr. Sharpton wants to make clear that skipping is not a good option.

How repulsive is the Democratic Party when Sharpton plays the role of kingmaker! This stuff with race mongers like Sharpton and Jackson playing "pope" of the party has been the theme for at least two decades!

Sharpton will endorse Hillary, if he knows what’s good for him.

I believe I can honestly say without reservation that whoever Sharpton picks will be easy for me to oppose.

I just wish I had a video of them genuflecting to this smoldering pile of horse dung.

Al and Jesse had practically vanished as objects of any political use until Imus made his crucial mistake and remarked about the B-ball girls. Now they are back on top.

Of course Jesse has already gotten his check from Obama and cashed it.

Seems like Sharpie has been leaning to Her Royal Thighness in the recent past. Recall that last month in Selma, with both HRC and Obama in town at the same time, Sharpie traveled around with her, not him.

...nothing but distraction propaganda to turn our fixated boob tube worshipping majority away from the real problems at hand (the War declared against us by Iran, the cheating import industry that destroys our manufacturing base and families, the divorce industry,...).

Can’t see how all this genuflecting of ‘Rats before Shapton can do anything but play to the advantage of the GOP in the general election. It’s hard for the Dems to fake it as “moderates” when film footage of this Sharpton show becomes available for all to see.

The Republican Party turned it’s back on David Duke. The DemonRats embrace anti-white, anti-Jewish bigots like Sharpton and Jesse Jerkson.

Agreed. On the other hand, do you see the Republicans doing ANYTHING at all that might build them up? A congressional majority with the WH doesn’t give them any ambition. The are, at best, feckless.

You hit it right on the head: the Dummies are much more appeasing and even fawning toward overt bigots within their midst than is the GOP. That’s a fundamental difference between the two major parties.

Rev. Sharkton's endorsement is the kiss of death to any candidate.

In the general election, yes. But in Dem primaries in states with large percentages of blacks in the Party, Sharpie probably helps more than hurts. That's the reasoning that motivates these Dem candidates to kiss up to him.

Information the GOP leadership doesn’t have the gonads to put into media ads:

First Hundred Days of “Do Nothing” Democrat Regime in Washington, D.C. And Nothing Accomplished

Pelosi and the Democrat “Do Nothings” Spend, Tax, Travel and Investigate their Way into the Taxpayer’s Backpocket

Austin - Today, the Republican Party of Texas released “results” of the first 100 legislative days of the much hyped new Democrat regime in Washington D.C. And here are the “results”:

10 Bills Passed Naming 10 Courthouses, Federal Buildings and Properties:

H.R. 49: To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 1300 North Frontage Road West in Vail, Colorado, as the “Gerald R. Ford, Jr. Post Office Building.”

H.R. 335: To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 152 North 5th Street in Laramie, Wyoming, as the “Gale W. McGee Post Office.”

H.R. 433: To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 1700 Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas, as the “Scipio A. Jones Post Office Building”.

H.R. 514: To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 16150 Aviation Loop Drive in Brooksville, Florida, as the “Sergeant Lea Robert Mills Brooksville Aviation Branch Post Office.”

H.R. 521: To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 2633 11th Street in Rock Island, Illinois, as the “Lane Evans Post Office Building.”

H.R. 577: To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 3903 South Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas, as the “Sergeant Henry Ybarra III Post Office Building.”

H.R. 544: To designate the United States courthouse at South Federal Place in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as the “Santiago E. Campos United States Courthouse.”

H.R. 342: To designate the United States courthouse located at 555 Independence Street in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as the “Rush Hudson Limbaugh, Sr. United States Courthouse.”

S. 159: A bill to redesignate the White Rocks National Recreation Area in the State of Vermont as the “Robert T. Stafford White Rocks National Recreation Area.”

H.R. 584: To designate the Federal building located at 400 Maryland Avenue Southwest in the District of Columbia as the “Lyndon Baines Johnson Department of Education Building.”

“Pelosi’s agility at breaking her promises to the American people of “real progress” in the first hundred days of her regime is only surpassed by her inability to show up for work more than three days a week,” said Hans Klingler, Texas GOP Communications Director.

And what about those broken promises from Pelosi?

Pelosi promised legislation, not investigation — But they’re so intent on going after Republicans that they’re spending hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on outside investigators to make sure no score goes unsettled.

Pelosi promised that Congress would be in Washington working every week from Monday until Friday, just like the American people do — But three months later, the five-day work week has fallen completely by the wayside.

Pelosi promised real results for the American people — But 100 days later, the Democrat leadership has not managed to send a single one of Nancy Pelosi’s self-identified ‘legislative priorities’ to the President’s desk.

Pelosi promised to be as strong as Republicans in the War on Terror — But three months after she came to power, Nancy Pelosi is traveling to and “negotiating” with Syria an admitted state sponsor of terrorists. Now she wants to go to Iran?

Pelosi promised an end to pork-barrel projects — But three months later, they tacked $21 billion in earmarks, including spinach subsidies, support for peanut farmers, and $16 million for additional office space for the House of Representatives onto a bill that was supposed to provide emergency funding for our men and women in uniform in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Thanks for posting Sharpton’s “rap sheet.” Amazing that with such “and awkward and unbalanced criminal justice system,” (as Sharpton described it) Sharpie himself has never even been charged with any major crime, let alone convicted or locked up - in so far as I know.

I think Sharpton will withhold endorsing anyone until after the primaries. If he endorses Hillary it will be an acknowledgment of the feud between himself and Obama, and I doubt he will risk the ire of the Clintons by not endorsing Hillary. So he will just say they are all great candidates and he would support whoever wins the nomination. Of course I could be wrong and he could go all out for Hillary or Obama.
