This isn’t the first time this has happened at VT, but VT has one of the best security systems I have ever seen for a Campus. When they lock down they lock down.
I also just posted. Apparently multiple shootings in more than one building with gunman still on loose. Truck is rolling around campus telling people to seek shelter indoors immediately and to stay away from windows.
Also, more rescue sirens than I’ve ever heard.
The school just reopened from Friday after a bomb threat
Classes in Torgersen, Durham, and Whittemore halls at Virginia Tech will back to normal tomorrow.
The three buildings will open at 7 a.m.. They have been closed since Friday because of a bomb threat.
The university has posted a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved.

Rumor I’m hearing is shootings in two parts of campus. From my window I can very clearly hear the truck making the announcement. Rescue vehicles still pouring in.

BLACKSBURG, Va. - A shooting at a Virginia Tech dorm Monday left one person dead and one wounded, a state government official with knowledge of the case told The Associated Press.
The state university posted an advisory on its Web site advising students that a shooting had occurred at a residence hall and a “gunman is loose on the campus.” The university also told students to stay in their homes away from windows.
