I think due to the Virginia Tech shootings. Perhaps the thought is to set politics aside for a few days.

I think due to the Virginia Tech shootings. Perhaps the thought is to set politics aside for a few days. It shows no disrespect that we discuss other topics as well. Keep the pings coming.

Perhaps. I’m not definite on this. You can take a clue from what is going on the next few days besides this tragedy. We can walk and chew gum at the same time.

I encountered your answer after posing my "why?" question.
Look, some tragedy is preventable. Electing folks like Thompson and Hunter is the cure for this kind of tragedy. To suspend the FRed ping list isn't helping anything.

I think due to the Virginia Tech shootings. Perhaps the thought is to set politics aside for a few days. The Virginia Tech shootings are going to effect the political climate. If we don't discuss politics in this context, you can bet your boots the gun-grabbers will. It is not the time to leave the field.

i would like to be on the fred ping list, and hope you won’t suspend the pings. i live in NoVA, many alums from my son’s and daughter’s highschools attend VaTech, and many of their classmates have siblings there. It is a tragic situation, but i think that we are able to mourn this tragedy and still discuss other things. Just my opinion.
