They DO have a point...... he’s spent his life here in America since 1992 (8 years old).
His ethnic heritage has little to do with his behavior.
We don't know that, though. We know little about his upbringing at this point, and given how often these days we discuss the ability (or inability, as it were) of some immigrants to fully assimilate, it makes no sense at all to give this guy a pass right off the bat.
If his heritage truly had nothing to do with his behavior, it'll be clear soon enough. What the AAJA is attempting to do is pure story suppression.
Sort of like being a Christian has nothing to do with being labeled by the MSM as a "far-right Christian".
Bottom line - the shooter was nuts.
Do you know that for sure? Or are you simply surmising?
It is the PC police who insist that we call out every identifier that describes a person as other than white, Christian, American, male.
But, true to their PC BS hypocrisy, they only want such identifiers mentioned when discussing something good about the person.
When a member of a PC group does something bad, suddenly we’re supposed to genericize him/her with some non-identifying label.
They’ll simply prefer to refer to him as a “male” since that is one of their target groups.
“They DO have a point...... hes spent his life here in America since 1992 (8 years old).
His ethnic heritage has little to do with his behavior.”
And you know this, how? You sure he didn’t lose face over the actions of a girlfriend.
His ethnic heritage has little to do with his behavior. But, as a resident alien, he remains a Korean.
Moreover, it's just information -- descriptive data. We've also been told he's from Centreville, VA. That's not "compelling or germane", either. But it is descriptive information in the best journalistic tradition of who, what, when, how and where.
Speaking for myself, I'm unaware of any crazed racist mobs gathering to round up and exterminate the Asians.
And, if she were honest, Janice Lee isn't aware of any either...
Here is the question. Most posters on FR take great offense when some says african american, asian american, etc. prefering that all be just american.
But when a mass murderer is an asain american, you can hear the crickets chirping regarding calling him just an american.
