Elizabeth Hasselbeck of "The View" is co-hosting "Fox & Friends" This week. And today, when she goes to assume her co-hosting duties on "The View," Elizabeth Hasselbeck is going to have a few choice words for Rosie O'Donnell.
But we'll get to that later. If you recall, cutie Kiran Chetry was canned when the William Morris Agency tried to play hardball with the Fox News Channel. Chetry was axed in favor of Gretchen Carlson.
Fox has been trying to push Carlson (albeit unsuccessfully) ever since Kiran left. They've even tried moving a few other Fox babes into the role as they watched their ratings drop-off.
Don't feel too sorry for Chetry as second-place CNN gobbled up the former Fox beauty, and she's now going head-to-head vs. FOX as the new co-host of CNN's American Morning.
Fox has been making blunder after blunder regarding their once extremely popular morning show. First it was moving E.D. Hill to make room for Carlson and then it was Kiran Chetry.
However, FOX looks to have read the writing on the wall as Gretchen has mysteriously vanished. Allison Camerotta returned to the show last week after being out on maternity leave and after several obvious failed attempts to find a suitable replacement, FOX may have found their girl in Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
Now I don't claim to know anything about Elizabeth's contract but it would seem that she may be planning to jump ship. It's no secret that she's been unhappy in her role on "The View" and at times has been the other three liberal ladies' conservative punching bag......."

So what morning news show do all of you watch? Fox and Friends seems to be the lesser of all evils.
I don’t have a dog in this fight because I simply cannot watch ANY of those “Infotainment” or gabby, chatty morning shows.
That being said, I did hear Hasselback on Glenn Beck, one day last week. Her habit of ending every statement with an interrogatory tone simply drives me up the wall. This is a common trait of many who have a great deal of difficulty expressing cogent thought, and is becoming common among young ‘uns everywhere. Her speech is also peppered with a lot of “you knows”. If I were a F&F viewer, I’d switch to driving bamboo skewers under my fingernails rather than watch her.
Personally I like Gretchen! Can’t stand Hasselbeck. She has the personality of a rock. As for Kiran Chetry! Who cares? I thought she was anorexic.
I still watch Fox and Friends! I will NEVER watch CNN!
Hasselback is probably on a short leash at the View. Nothing happens at the View that Barbara Walters does not allow.
I thought they moved E. D. Hill because she was tired of coming in so early. Also, I thought they needed her at the new hour to up ratings at that time lot.
He makes it silly and IMO has ruined it.
I don’t buy that. ED had been doing the early show pregnant which would be a bigger strain. I think they thought they could bump their ratings more with the younger women. MSNBC
was gaining in that slot before Imus imploded.
I did like E.D. Never understood why they took her off to move her to another time slot. They are paying the price in the ratings department—too bad. But anybody will be better than Gretchen!

Hasselbeck is a possibility. With Imus down it may not be necessary.
I almost threw a beer through my HDTV when she compared John Kerry to George Bush, saying, “John Kerry was in the military, while George Bush was not.”

I’m glad Chetry’s gone. I always felt that she thought it was all about HER. I’ll take Alysen over Gretchen but please don’t hire Elizabeth. She’s very sweet but sounds like a Valley Girl.
From what I read there was a problem between ED and the two guys. It seemed to me that they were carrying the load as she had tons of time off (not just for babies) and when she returned it was kind of catch-up for her. Maybe the chemistry among the three was off. I wanted to like Gretchen but I think she is kind of cold. All I realy know is that I watched F&F every morning for years and for the last 9 or so months I rarely tune in.
I guess Fox needs a handful of liberals to appear “fair and balanced.”
