“So much for the claim by some Rudy boosters that the President can’t impact abortion.”

He can, but ONLY if he has a Republican Congress. No way Bush could have got his nominees through a Democratic Senate. And unless a Republican candidate can win blue or purple states—which Rudy alone can do—there won’t be a Republican Senate. So think about it. Rudy has the potential to win big—and kick Reid and Pelosi off their thrones. No one else has this potential. And by the way, he has promised to nominate justices in the mold of Roberts and Alito, if elected. I believe him. And so does Ted Olson who supports him and who ought to know.

You turn on a dime with your spin. Shameless.

Even if a president does not have a GOP Congress, he can make a difference. He can VETO a repeal of a ban. And he can nominate pro-life judges.

Only because Bush was such a wimp. Reagan and Bush 41 got nominees through the Senate.

Your "Rudy can take Blue States away from Hillary or Obama" blather only makes sense if the dems run Pat Buchanan...or maybe Kucinich.

We must win the votes of independents and others who'll switch such as Regan Democrats. You may think that we can't do that with a conservative (elections prove otherwise) but there is no reason in the world why an independent should change their vote from one liberal to another.
