Why not contact the school before selling this nut a firearm ? Are you proposing dealers do an independent educational background check (naively expecting someone to answer the phone, access data, and honestly speak adversely about a student, knowing they will be sured for it) on EVERY buyer, or just on the ones they have a valid hunch will turn into a mass murderer later that week?
Or perhaps you have just taken temporarily leave of your usual conservative senses?
