It would be nice if this were true, but is it? I don't recall hearing millions of Democrats saying "I'm going to vote for Fred!"
For what it's worth, the few times I've checked the DU opinion of Fred, it was begrudgingly respectful. They also seem to think he would be a formidable opponent.
