The best carbon neutral plan would be for Ms. Pelosi and friends to shut down Congress save 1 month a year. Turn out the lights, turn off the heat, stop producing paper and send the legions of staffers on to more productive employment (maybe planting trees or something).

Congress should come to DC in the sweltering days of July, operate without air conditioning, pass the bills that fund our government as quickly as possible (thus no air conditioning) and go home.

The war on global warming (Gorebore Whoring) has been officially lost. There never were any weapons of mass human induced global warming - Gore lied, the economy died. With the slowdown of the US economy, third world development has ceased, and billions of people have turned to stripping forests to burn as fuel, slash and burn agriculture to grow food, and have ceased any semblance of sustainable environmental stewardship in order to eek out a living. Mass starvation in Asia and Africa has claimed tens of millions of lives, infectious diseases have spiraled out of control, pollution has skyrocketed, and, in the last 50 years, the average global temperature has increased 0.15 degrees, causing sea levels to rise by 2 inches. In these conditions, the Grand Socialist Caliphate (stretching from France to Pakistan, Egypt to the center of the nation previously known as Russia) has continued to expand its influence, threatening to continue to make inroads into Asia. If nothing is done, the Caliphate will hold more than 50% of the world population before the decade is out.

Domestic food prices have nearly tripled relative to the change in the median income, as farmers have shifted more and more grain to biofuel producers to take advantage of the 700% increase in energy prices, corrected for inflation, over the last half century. Even with Clinton's Euthanasia Act of 2014 set to become involuntary this year to again stave off the insolvency of social security, it is doubtful that America will continue to escape the same scale of starvation as Europe - eventually many of those currently dependent upon breadlines will have to be turned away and/or euthanized for the greater good.

With the continued widespread state bans on nuclear power plant construction, the continued dependence on foreign oil wrought by environmental land-use regulations that officially wiped out domestic exploration and extraction in 2020, strict regulations placed on commercial coal plant operations that caused the last coal plant to close down in 2031, and expensive solar, wind, and hydro power (taxed at 200%), renegade individual families and rural communities have turned to small scale contraband local gas and coal-based power generation to meet their electricity needs, with no heed paid even to 2020's era emissions regulations - EPA oversight had been rendered impossible, and a war on rogue power generation was declared by the United Nations.

Our rehabilitation and reeducation centers now are filled with environmental terrorists, hate speech offenders, those found guilty of making more than the maximum wage, and Christians refusing to renounce their faith in the name of Allah. Pedophiles roam free, some elected to national office (America had its first openly pedophile Congressman in 2018, who ushered in a new era of tolerance by recognizing human-animal marriage), while gun control regulations have proven to still be insufficient - despite a 100% ban on the possession of firearms, roving armed gangs and poorly understood thugs continue to kill innocent people at an alarming rate. It is a mystery to pointy-haired bureaucrats how criminals still have guns, despite all guns and all ammunition being illegal.

Unemployment, now at 18%, continues to increase, necessitating ever-increasing top federal income tax brackets (now 85%) to meet funding requirements. Of particular fiscal strain is the 28th Amendment (Carbon neutrality), making up the bulk of the $767.2 trillion spent over the last decades to wage the war on global warming. Though illegal, a few people today openly question the Gore-Clinton Defense Act of 2016, which enacted a 5% transfer every year from national defense spending to environmental spending until the DoD was entirely de-funded and replaced by a Department of Peace (under the auspices of the United Nations).

The dark years Following the Religion of Peace freedom-fighter attacks on Sept 11, 2017 (a nuclear holocaust wiping out Israel, and 4 simultaneous chemical weapons attacks at American sporting events, killing 67,000 people), American president John Edwards offered a cautiously worded letter to the Grand Ayatollah in Mecca, and sent special envoys to plead with him to call off further attacks. When the heads of the members of the diplomatic mission were returned to the White House, Edwards demanded immediate sanctions against the Caliphate, threatening to cut off 20% of the $75 billion a year in foreign aid the US afforded it. Those sanctions were ruled illegal by the United Nations. The following month, a 100 kt nuclear warhead stolen (or purchased?) from Russia was detonated in a Miami shipping container, killing 2.4 million Americans instantly, and more than 2 million from radiation poisoning. Upon learning that no retaliatory military action was planned, an armed revolt spread throughout the nation, pitting general against general, and entire divisions against raucous civilian centers. The UN was called in to restore order. More than 400 high-ranking brass were summarily executed for treason, while thousands of military personnel and civilians were executed, with millions placed into concentration camps under UN guard.

Follow-up nuclear weapons attacks with more rudimentary devices in Atlanta, Dallas, and Chicago (in 2019, 2020, and 2022 respectively) brought the total death toll to 9 million Americans, each time the UN deciding against action, and instead relying on diplomacy. On Christmas day, 2022, a fifth, 20 Mt, nuclear device was discovered by accident in New York city, held in a warehouse under heavy guard by a Caliphate-aligned domestic freedom-fighter cell. With the Grand Ayatollah threatening to order the cell to detonate the bomb, an 11th hour deal was reached by UN representatives and the Fenty administration. In return for not destroying New York, they agreed to extradite all individuals of Jewish ancestry and/or faith to the Caliphate, give up all permanent UN positions, and permit the Caliphate access to all US weapons technology.
