If the Rutgers women's basketball players had spurned an invitation to meet with President Bush, do you think ABC might have told us about it? Natch. But when those same players blew off a chance to meet Hillary Clinton, ABC managed to put a positive spin on matters.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton finally dropped by Rutgers to meet with the school's women's basketball coach -- but the players themselves skipped the half-hour meeting, citing their studies and Imus fatigue.
"Many of the players were in study hall from eight to noon and some had finals," explained a Rutgers source who said the players were "tired" of all the attention. "These young women need to do their classes, and wrap their spring semester."It's enough to give a guy flashbacks to co-eds shooting him down for a Saturday-night date because they had to study.
Senator Hillary Clinton paid a visit Friday to Rutgers University. She met with the coach of the women's basketball team. She said the young women showed the world the difference between bravery and bravado.A clip of Hillary on stage at Rutgers was flashed, and that was it. Not a discouraging word of the snub by the players was heard. You remember the old Bing Crosby song:
You've got to ac-cen-tu-ate the positive. At least when it comes to an MSM outlet's treatment of a leading Dem presidential contender, that is.
E-lim-in-ate the negative.
ABC-helps-Hillary ping to Today show list.
Ok, Mr. Finkelstein, that was a funny analogy.
Check this out!
One of them say that did not want to mee that photo-op ho
It’s obviously an Obama choice for that team.
Racism has two sides.
It is politely called ‘favoritism’ but only when certain groups practice it with fervor.
Glad you enjoyed it. By the way, Finkelstein = me, governs. And even at my alma mater Cornell, we knew the have-to-study excuse for Saturday night was about as believable as gotta-rearrange-my-sock-drawer ;-)
Hill’s not having a great week. Bwhahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Hillary Rodham Clinton finally dropped by Rutgers to meet with the school's women's basketball coach -- but the players themselves skipped the half-hour meeting, citing their studies and Imus fatigue. Clinton had been scheduled to meet with Scarlet Knight coach C. Vivian Stringer and an assistant, and possibly some of the players, Monday to talk with them about Don Imus's "nappy-headed ho" comments. But that sit-down was postponed due to weather and because the story seemed far less significant after the Virginia Tech killings. "Many of the players were in study hall from eight to... |
A related thread, which I just came across....
Rutgers team skips Clinton meeting
I hope Limbaugh mentions this story on Monday.
Yeh. Study Hall is more important than meeting Hillary.
lol.
Ouch.
When it comes to Hillie, familiarity is breeding contempt.
Of course, which will make it worse for Lord Hildemort.
I have $100 that says they wouldn’t have skipped Obama.
I guessed that you are the author of these a couple years ago. I hijacked one of your threads to a discussion of alcohol. You weren’t upset about it, but your comments led me to believe that you are the “man behind the mask.”
I began critiquing the MSM here at FR in 2002, doing vanity posts mainly about the Today show [hence my tagline.] When Brent Bozell’s Media Research Center created NewsBusters as its blog a couple years ago, they recruited me. I continue to cross-post my NB stuff here.
Guess that move backfired on old Shillary huh ???
Poor Hillary. At least she didn’t wreck in her haste to get there.
I honestly think as the news for Hillary gets worse, at some point, she is going to “gracefully” get out of the race. I’m thinking something along the lines of a personal illness, a Bill or Chelsea illness.
I don’t think she is going to be the dem nominee.
Remember when Tiger Woods turned down Bill Clinton’s invitation to the White House? LOL
My, this IS something good to wake up to, isn’t it?
