I saw McStain doing this. It was like he was having a senior moment or something.

I'll vote for him if I have to. But he isn't a good candidate in any way now that the press is no longer propping him up.

After reading about Gen. Petraeus, I would like to see him run for POTUS next year...
in this time of war,we definitely need a younger leader with current combat experience and leadership.

If you’re going to run a general, you have to have a Grant or an Eisenhower. A victor in a major war of solid personal character, generally a somewhat non-partisan figure. Not even a MacArthur or a Schwartzkopf really can make the grade. And certainly not that Dim twit general who ran in ‘04, ol’ Weasley “Blood And Guts” whats-his-name.

I hate to be cynical, but I suspect that ‘slip’ was a planned gesture to make McCain appear strong on foreign policy. During an election season the politicians say what you want to hear.

Does this mean McCain is going to rescind his earlier bashing of the Bush tax cuts?
