Are you a fan of the Broadway musical? I am, and very fond of early Sondheim in particular.
Actually I love musicals, and while I have not seen as much of Sondheim as you probably have, I would have enjoyed 'Follies' I think. Thanks for the link.
One of the best musicals I ever saw was a WAY off-Broadway production of 'Cabaret', a cast of unknowns put on by Wheaton High School in Montgomery County Maryland in 1972, it was one of the finest productions I've ever seen, and I recall that the Washington Post sent one of their reporters out to cover the performance, and to everyone's surprise the reporter stated without reservation that Larry Parish (the high school senior who played the role of the emcee') should have been cast in the big time version of Cabaret instead of Joel Grey, and I have to say: he was -that- good.
