“My side” is the side where folks interact like adults instead of adolescents. You’ll note in all my comments, not once have I mentioned who I do/don’t support in the primaries, mainly because in Indiana it simply doesn’t matter - the decision has long been made by the time our primaries come around.
In fact, you are correct in that both “sides” of this debate need to tone it down.
When I talk about the rudeness of “true conservatives”, it’s a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Buchanan supporters, the Keyes supporters, and the anti Rudy crowd who by and large all seem to have a real problem understanding the concept of reasoned/grownup debate.
Anyone - and I mean anyone who can’t keep it civil, Rudy supporter or not, needs to grow up. You’re not going to win any converts by trying to insult people over to your side.
As an aside - It has seemed to me that many of the pro Rudy folks have gone over the top after getting tired of all the juvenile comments. I may be wrong, but even an adult can only take so much before they snap.
And besides - how stupid is it to be at each other’s throats like this. If a company ran this way, it would go belly-up in no time.
Is that the road we’re headed down politically?
