Specter should be careful because WH now decided to come out strong. First proof - Nebraska attorney general is running for Hagel’s seat with Rove’s approval.

Timmy ends this mind numbingly boring segment with a hope that there just might be someone we can “get” over this.

Thanks for the reminder, If ESPNII has the fishing show every Sunday morning at 9, I won’t need to even peek at FNS.

Greasy Tim and the rest of the DNC/DBM aren't having as easy a time with this 'tragedy'... as they thought. 20 years ago, this would have been neatly packaged into another human-wave assault on the 2nd Ammendment... with further restrictions already awaiting a vote.

I believe those days are gone... for now.

MTP

Russert asks if more money is needed to upgrade security measures, add cameras, etc.

Bureaucrats jump on this: Oh yes!!! More more more!

The questions Russert should have asked:

How much money in Homeland Security grants has Virginia Tech received since 9-11-01, and what have they done with those funds?

How much money in Homeland Security grants has Blacksburg received since 9-11-01, and what have they done with those funds?

It was really pretty laughable. Timmy kept trying to get to the “gun thing” and the panel was digging their heels in on the mental health issue.

Apparently they do not feel that the time is ripe to go gun grabbing again. As you say...for now.

Oh no, Timmy hasn’t given up on the gun control issue. Has a poll that says most Americans really, really want more of it, so why aren’t the candidates jumping on the bandwagon.

Happy Earth Day to you, too. It is finally warm out, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, there are several swans swimming by. I think I’ll step outside and.......breathe.

They tried propping it up initially, but their bosses - democraters aren't ready touch with a 60' pole.

Doris Kearns-Goodwin is here to tell us that the dems position on guns did not lose them elections. They are just misreading election results.

She says the dems MUST take leadership on this issue.

preserving the freedom of a lunatic to run around among us.

I nearly choked on my cornflakes when Russert said something about 'shouldn't persons with mental problems not be allowed to live in the dorms?'

Yah, think, Tim? But it would be okay for them to attend class? Of course, we can't put them on a leash and assign them each a caretaker because libs would go ballistic at that.

Russert apparently had a brain-drain of memory -- Cho's major actions were in a classroom building, not the dorm.

One thing that the insulated, isolated press corps does not realize about the VT murders - boomers are the demographic in America who have children in universities all over this country. Boomers are the dominant demographic for everything and this carnage has focused their attention powerfully.

Russert et al will not be able to shape the argument. Changes to some of these draconian stupid privacy regs will happen.

This sunday's Media Nuggets

###### Associated with terrorists Press - an arm of DNC? That doesn't come as surprise to anyone.

###### MSM won't report about MASSIVE Rally because it 's not against America, but Against Radical Islamists!.

###### Preach what you Practice! - Nora-O-Duh-nnel sided with NARAL while discussing Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Ruling. Irony: she will deliver twin babies next month & baby shower was held the previous day @ Kuwaiti Ambassador's residence (!!!).

###### NBC Falls to Lowest - Weekly Audience in History. NBC, which dominated television in the late 1990s and earlier this decade, averaged only 6.8 million viewers in prime time last week -- believed to be lowest weekly average that the network has recorded during a TV season since the advent of Nielsen's "people meters" 20 years ago.

###### Must for PULITZERS - Bush Derangement Syndrome.

###### WH Press Corpse Rule (this is not joke) should Not Applaud the President.

###### Associated with democrats Press "Name That Party" smackdown.

###### Newspapers Lose Readers, Advertisers, Now Analysts. Readers were the first to abandon U.S. newspapers. Then advertisers and investors. Now analysts are joining the exodus.

###### Associated with terrorists Press is worried that U.S. carriers avoiding Al-Jazeera English, so they are doing their "terrorist" propaganda.

###### Spin & Reality - Booking Layoffs - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's tell-little bio would revive sales are dying fast. Simon & Schuster, publisher of Clinton's Living History, is planning a second round of layoffs. Reason given: Advances to authors are too high.

###### FNS' Chris Wallace offers lame excuses for democrat's boycott of Fox for primary debates.

###### Media Melt-down

*** Tribune Reports 81% Drop in Earnings .

*** NYTimes 1Q Profit fell 26 %.

*** Gannett 's first-quarter earnings fell 11%.

*** LATimes to cut 150 jobs. Chicago Tribune planned to cut about 100 jobs.

###### Buzz...... * President Bush & First Lady Laura Bush were briefly interviewed on all networks when they visited VT, except Fox. Dan Bartlett never called the waiting Sheperd Smith or Wendell Goler before wrapping it up. * First Lady talked to FNC's Kelly Wright the next day. * Just watch the "news crawl" on Fox, CNN & MSNBC for a short time and be surprised to see which channel is "hostile" to Bush.admn. * NBC put Tiki Barber to interview some VT students at Virginia Tech & he fumbled miserably.

Perfect examples of liberal 'think'.
