Don’t worry. Plenty still around. Just check the body fat of anyone born before they stopped using the stuff.

Better to use nature against nature. Bacillus T. is an bateria used for effective mosquito control (timed release in standing water) as well as useful on tent caterpillers and cabbage loopers(No effect on man). Sterilized screw flys were released and effectivly controlled that population in Texas cattle. Preditory nematodes control grubs and grasshoppers. Some fungus can be used to control grasshoppers.

Some of these controls are self replicating as long at there is a pest to feed on. This beats DDT which needs to be reapplied over and over again.
