The latest a woman can get an abortion in France is 12 weeks. If the “butcher-doctor” thinks the baby may have a handicap, the abortion can happen till the ninth month : there is no limit. That is the law. Concerning “counseling on alternatives”, it’s just a bad joke.
You can believe me, I’ve been in this fight for more than twenty years. In France, there’s no “pro-life” position in politics. Nobody cares !

It is up to 26 weeks here, till 9 months if the mothers "health" is threatened.

Probably, but there are a lot of judges here in the states that believe that "bad joke" infringes on a womens right to slaughter her child, so it is not even allowed in some states.

I believe you, but none the less your abortion policies are actually more restrictive then our own.That is the kicker, we as a country are probably among the worlds most pro-life populations, yet we have one of the most liberal abortion laws in the world.
