I just finished formatting this same speech so I could post it. : )

I remember the starvation of Baby Doe. My baby was eating baby food at the time. I had such nightmares about the murder of that dear child. I remember one couple (there were probably many) stepping forward, and begging to be allowed to adopt the baby. But the “parents” would have none of that.

Reagan never gave it as a speech. It was published as an essay in Human Life Review magazine in 1983. Later it was published in book form. Its one of the greatest pro-life documents ever written, by anyone.

Just like Terri Schiavo's ghoulish "husband", who made sure she was starved to death despite the fact that her parents were begging to be allowed to care for her. Those among us who can't speak for themselves are so helpless.
